Release date: Monday, Feb. 6th at MIDNIGHT

“5 Chicks and a Mic” will be available exclusively on the Comedy Guy Entertainment, LLC website for the first month it is available, all the way up until Monday, March 5th.  From there, it will have a wider release and will be available for download on iTunes, Amazon.com, and other fine retailers of that nature!

We’re making it available on the website first to make the album as easy and inexpensive as possible for people to get.  You’ll be able to purchase the entire CD for just $9.  As an added bonus, we are making individual comedienne’s entire sets available for only $3!  That’s something that we will continue to only make available on the site even after the broader release

Individual tracks (there are 37 in all) will be made available at the same time as the iTunes release of the album.
How This’ll Work

1. Go to the CornStar Comedy Records tab at the top of the page.

2. Click on the track/album that you would like to purchase.

3. You will be directed to our ticketing partner, Eventbrite.  We will not be spamming you with e-mails, as Comedy Guy Entertainment doesn’t have a mailing list or anything like that.  (By the way, if you WANT us to have a mailing list, please request it)

4. Upon purchase, you will be e-mailed a receipt of sale.  A copy of that receipt will be sent to us, attached to a confirmation letter that you bought the track.  Upon receiving this, we will e-mail you a high-quality mp3 of the track/album you just purchased.  This isn’t encrypted, it doesn’t have a licensing number attached to it, nothing like that.  You can take it and put it on as many audio devices as you want and you can use it however you’d like. You can listen to it an infinite number of times.

5. Even though I’m sure a lot of people will, we’d all really appreciate it if you didn’t go crazy making the tracks available for free on the Internet.  CornStar Comedy Records makes a very healthy deal with our artists and performers that guarantees them a high percentage of the albums sold.  This is something we’d like to keep doing, and we certainly would like a lot of comedians to work with us in the future.  That’s something that will be more possible if they are correctly (and fairly) compensated for their hard work and great comedic skill.  The CD isn’t going to get jacked up in price on the website at any time, and we’ll definitely try to keep the price as low as possible on iTunes and Amazon.  It’ll more than likely be cheapest here on the website, since we appreciate you stopping by and visiting the online home of Comedy Guy Entertainment, LLC.  Please come back soon!

Tickets to individual Iowa Comedy Festival shows will be made available starting in August.

We all know what the “n” in the rap group “NWA”s name stands for.  But we think they could’ve done a better job figuring out proper words for the “WA.”  Since they dropped the ball creatively, it’s up to YOU to help come up with better acronyms (but just for the ‘W’ and ‘A’)!
